Launch of icipe's Vision and Strategy 2026 - 2030
The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is delighted to welcome you to the official launch of the icipe Vision and Strategy 2026-2030 at our Duduville Campus in Nairobi, Kenya. This will be a pivotal event that will define the institution's strategic direction for the coming years. The launch will also be the centrepiece of the icipe Science Week 2025, an event designed to showcase icipe's excellence in research for development and its significant impact on nature and society.
Our new vision remains committed to helping communities tackle pressing global issues such as climate change, contribute to global health, and transform agrifood systems, livelihoods, the environment, and biodiversity for a sustainable future. We have been inspired by the dynamic discussions and novel, disruptive ideas that have emerged throughout this strategic development process.
This event will not only celebrate icipe's scientific legacy through the inaugural Thomas Risley Odhiambo (TRO) Lecture and recognize current achievements, but also bring together distinguished science leaders, philanthropic partners, and continental representatives for a high-level panel discussion. The discussions will delve into critical aspects of science leadership and the funding landscape, particularly in the context of various uncertainties.
We extend our gratitude to our partners, who have been with us on this journey.
